Barcelona Confirms Gavi Injury Update: Diagnosis, Recovery Time, and Expected Return Date
Barcelona have officially announced the current status of Gavi's injury via its website, stating that the midfielder has had a successful arthroscopy to remove cartilage from his left knee.
According to the club's medical report, the operation on a meniscus injury saw surgeons decide on stitching the cartilage in order to save it and offer Salvador greater guarantees of full recovery.
Barcelona said that Gavi was expected to be sidelined for around four or five months, leaving the talented midfielder on the sidelines for a long spell before returning to train with the first team.
